The MA-3400 Series Video Servers are MPEG-2 based products designed for the efficient insertion of commercials and promotional materials and for the replay of program length materials in a transmission channel. The MA-3400 Series is for customers who need a larger number of MPEG-2 channels in a server system. We have designed these servers with quality of reproduction, ease of use and high reliability in mind. The MA-3400 Video Servers offer models with from 2 to 10 MPEG-2 channels, and 6 media drives of either 120GB or 250GB capacity. Storage is protected by hardware RAID 5, drives are hot-swappable for ease of maintenance, and the servers are powered by dual redundant supplies.

The drives are configured in an array of 4 data, 1 parity, and 1 hot-spare. With 120GB drives, approximate storage capacity will be 170 hours at 6Mb/S, or 130 hours at 8Mb/S. With 250GB drives, approximate capacity at 6Mb/S is 355 hours, and at 8Mb/S it will be 270 hours.
