Prime Image Time Tailor HD/SD

Time Tailor for Broadcast, a “Powered by Prime” product. A HD/SD time compression system based on Prime Image's patented frame accurate time-reduction process and the Fastrack TT control and automation packages. Time Tailor automatically time-compresses programming as it is downloaded and sets up the automation system for insertion of commercial breaks.

Functions supported by Time Tailor Broadcast's automation package include;
• scheduling of time compression jobs for multiple downloads of different programs,
• automatic launching of scheduled jobs, user selectable control of whether source and record devices are under Time Tailor management,
• time line reporting of processed programming with times and spot durations,
• auto save of report into an automation system.

Prime Image’s Time Tailor HD/SD for Post-Production is a feature rich combining the Fastrack TT editing suite, fully automated system designed for cable programmers, broadcasters, content providers, and post-production facilities for editing program and/or segment times to fit into new time slots.

Typically, a first-run broadcast time slot allows 22 to 23-minutes for the actual show, with the remaining time used for commercials, promotional spots and public service announcement. When these shows are re-broadcast as reruns, or in syndication by local, cable or satellite channels, they must run in a 21-minute time slot. Old ways of reducing the time needed to play out a show included editing out scenes, racing through the credits, and playing out the show at a higher than original speed.

Based on Prime Image’s Time Tailor HD/SD’s patented time-reduction process and the Fastrack TT system, Time Tailor Post HD/SD enhanced time reduction beyond the optional five minute SD and 110 seconds HD (per run segment) and removes video frames automatically and undetectably without comprising the integrity of the program. Time Tailor HD/SD’s “micro-editing” provides a faster and less expensive method of this type of content processing. Plus, the final output is a higher quality of media than that which is modified by current methods.

Time Tailor Post HD/SD offers SD support for 525i and 625i standards and HD support for 1080i/29.97 and 720p/59.94 standards.

Time Tailor HD/SD

Prime Image’s Time Tailor HD/SD’s full digital processing reduces video program run time for the creation of additional time. The patented time reduction process occurs in real-time without pre-recording, pre-processing, or compromising the integrity of the program, and devoid of discernible video or audio effects when used judiciously. The amount of additional time created and the time duration over which it is created is programable as well as variable.

The Time Tailor HD/SD easily creates up to 30 seconds of additional time in a 20 to 30-minute program. Optional features allow for the creation of as much as five minutes of additional time in SD and 110 seconds in HD. Time Tailor HD/SD continues to report black-hole presence during and following the reduction process.
